The Minor Team engaged in a local derby today against Christ King. Thankfully, we came out on top in this Douglas Derby. The final scoreline was 6-1 to RMC.
The first half was extremely close and some early pressure from the visitors resulted in a 1-0 lead to Christ King. The game was end to end and we continued to create chances but still found ourselves behind.
Just before the half time whistle, Mia Quille managed to cooly put the ball past the keeper to draw us level.
With a few changes at half time. We dominated the second half which opened with Olivia Browne topping off her Captain’s performance with a fantastic goal to give us the lead.
We didn’t look back from that point on as Chloe Murray and Blaithin Nevin managed to also get on the scoresheet.
