Maths Week takes place in Ireland from 11 October – 19 October 2025. The idea behind Maths week is to promote positive attitudes towards Maths and to highlight the importance of Maths in our lives.
Fun Maths events have been taking place in Regina Mundi College to promote positive attitudes in our school.
The 4th year Maths classes looked at a movie called Hidden Figures. The film Hidden Figures highlights the critical role of mathematical and computational skills in NASA’s early space missions.
The 1st year classes took part in a fun quiz during one of their classes which was a challenge for them but as always, they rose to the challenge and most of them worked out all the answers.
The 2nd year classes played Countdown, which is a fun and mentally stimulating activity and a way to keep their brains active while at the same time improving their Maths skills.
Other activities included the Cube, interactive quizzes and paper quizzes.
A great time was had by all for Maths week!
