Yesterday our 4th, 5th, and 6th Year Agricultural Science students visited Rostellan Farm today, where Joe, the local farmer, gave them an engaging tour of his dairy enterprise and newly reseeded fields. Students learned about grassland management, dairy production, and the importance of sustainable farming practices in maintaining soil and pasture quality. The visit concluded with a stop at the farm shop, where students enjoyed the chance to purchase some of the farm’s fresh milk — a perfect end to an educational and enjoyable day.
