A group of keen TY students got the opportunity to attend a livestreamed event in school on Tuesday as part of Science week. It was a Space Careers event hosted by influencer Shanice Griffin coming live from Microsoft DreamSpace. The guest speakers were Maeve Doyle, a Senior Flight Software Verification & Validation Engineer at Astroscale, Lorraine Hanlon, Professor of Astronomy and Director at UCD Centre for Space Research and Michael Martin, Engineering Manager at Réaltra Space. The students learned about their journey and inspiration leading to their studies and careers within the fast emerging Irish Space Sector.
