Yesterday was a very exciting day in Regina Mundi College for our Junior Maths students. Our 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year students were given the opportunity to take part in the Junior Irish Maths Olympiad 2025.
Almost 100 of our Junior students took up the challenge and sat for this Maths competition. When the results for this competition are collated, the top 15% of the students will be invited to attend UCC Junior Mathematics Enrichment Programme. These free Saturday classes aim to offer students a wider perspective on Mathematics and its role in life and society, while developing their problem solving skills in an environment centred on the enjoyment of investigation and discovery, among like-minded peers.
