On Monday, May the 8th, the French students arrived with their Irish exchange partners in school for a traditional Irish breakfast and experienced a whole school assembly. They went on an outing to UCC where they had a guided tour, followed by a visit to Cork City Gaol and shopping in the city centre.
On Tuesday, the 9th of May, the French exchange group participated with great enthusiasm in Regina Mundi’s Sports Day.
On Wednesday, May the 10th the French and Irish exchange students were treated to an extravaganza of Irish dance performances by 3rd Year students Isabel O’Brien, Lucie Sheehan, Maddison Gamble, Elizabeth Carroll and Lauren Hourihan, traditional music by Abby O’Mahony and Róisín Bradley, Irish legend reading and Gaelic football display by Grace Thompson and Becca Lloyd Evans. We finished with the Céilí dance: The Walls of Limerick taught by Ms Buckley.
