Ms. O’Brien’s 5th Year Geography class explored how the tectonic force of compression leads to the formation of Fold Mountains — using Curly Wurlys as their model. The chocolate bars made the perfect prop to demonstrate how folding shapes the Munster Ridge and Valley province. Best of all, the students got to enjoy their “fold mountains” as a treat afterwards!
