TY Tour to Barcelona

April 27, 2026

Our TY students began their Barcelona adventure bright and early on Saturday morning, departing Cork Airport and arriving in Reus Airport to glorious blue skies. After settling into the hotel, the girls enjoyed some well-earned downtime by the pool before heading for dinner.

That evening, the group was treated to a spectacular magic show at the House of Illusion, featuring Matt Edwards. It was a fantastic start to the tour, filled with fun and amazement.

Sunday saw the group travel into Barcelona for a day of exploration and discovery. The first stop was the renowned CosmoCaixa Science Museum, where students explored interactive exhibits, including the immersive rainforest environment—complete with tropical plants, wildlife, and a functioning ecosystem.

Following lunch, the students enjoyed a guided tour of the city, taking in many of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks. Highlights included Montjuïc, the historic Olympic Stadium, and the breathtaking La Sagrada Família. Throughout the afternoon, tour guides brought the city’s rich history and culture to life.

The day concluded with some retail therapy at the vibrant Maremagnum Shopping Centre—a perfect way to round off a busy and enjoyable day.

With two more exciting days ahead, the group is looking forward to making even more unforgettable memories in Barcelona.
