Transition Year day trip to Stripe Young Scientist @ RDS

TY students were in school early this morning for the day trip to the Stripe Young Scientist competition at the RDS. This is the first year Stripe have taken over from BT as main sponsor and it’s 20 years since the founders of Stripe, the Collison brothers won the competition.
550 groups from primary and secondary schools all over the island of Ireland were exhibiting their projects. The technology exhibition included stands from 2FM, Met Eireann and TikTok. The atmosphere in the RDS was described as inspiring while the highlight for many was seeing the many informative projects from their peers. As our day trippers return home, attention now turns to the awards ceremony.
