Our Senior camogie team returned to action today in the Cork quarter final. Our opponents today were Colaiste Mhuire of Buttevant. The early exchanges were keenly contested and Colaiste Mhuire created a number of scoring opportunities but they were unable to convert any of them into scores. At the other end of the field we were able to get our noses in front thanks to a well worked goal from Fódla Ní Bhradaigh. Further goals from Brooke O’Halloran and Kate Hourihan meant we led at half time by 3-4 to 2-2.
The 2nd half started with some early scores for Regina Mundi and as the half progressed we made our dominance in general play count on the scoreboard with further goals from Kate Hourihan, Brooke O’Halloran and Jessica Murphy. The final score was Regina Mundi 7-7 Colaiste Mhuire Buttevant 4-6 and the victory was down to the hard work and excellent team work shown by all players today. We are now though to the semi final where we await the winners of Carrignavar and Youghal.
