The Junior Soccer Team were knocked out of the Munster Cup today by St. Mary’s Secondary School in Mallow. Despite the mucky pitch and bitterly cold weather, the girls gave it their all but they came up second to a very strong and well organised team.
The final score was 7-3 to the home side which made for an exciting end to end game. Fiona O’ Connell scored two fantastic goals which she deserved for her efforts throughout the game. Emma Davis continued to tirelessly run for the entire game and she got a goal which she thoroughly deserved.
Despite the final result, the girls should have been proud of their efforts on the pitch.
They’ll have other opportunities to get wins in future fixtures.
