Members of the choir, orchestra and 2nd year Music class started the weekend on a high note today with their trip to see The Cork Pops orchestra in the City Hall. Under the baton of Evelyn Grant, the girls were exposed to music ranging from Mozart and Verdi, to Holst and Coldplay. The orchestra were joined on stage by Keith Hanley, winner of The Voice of Ireland and Tiny from Kabin Crew who’s viral hit ‘The Spark’ has been nominated for a Grammy. The performances were mesmerising and gave the girls such an insight into the many different instruments and genres. Thanks to Ms Hume, Ms Barry, Ms Craven and Ms O’ Neill for accompanying the students.
