Ski Trip 2026- Pics

Buongiorno to all back home!

As we come to the conclusion of the 2026 Ski Trip, we reflect on what was a truly memorable and exhilarating week.

To continue on from our previous update, the 5th years had to combat various elements at different points throughout the week. Italy felt like home due to the unpredictability of the weather at times. We have experienced snow, sleet, sunshine, fog and everything in between. However, this did not discourage a single student despite how much harder the weather made it to try to perfect the art of skiing.

Wednesday morning and afternoon featured more slopes, gondolas and ski lifts and the evening was occupied by an extremely entertaining quiz created by the teachers. The quiz featured four rounds; Teacher Trivia, Facts about Italy, Pop Culture and Guess the Song.

Thursday proceeded in a similar fashion to the days that preceded it. Parallel skiing was on the menu for most as the students grew in confidence and ability. The other side of the ski resort was even explored which proved a rewarding challenge for the 5th years. In the evening, we rambled to the local supermarket and acquired the necessary rest needed for the last day on the slopes.

By Friday, the expansive 156km of slopes in Madonna Di Campiglio were extensively explored by everyone in the group. It is hard to believe how much the group improved over the course of the week and their newly found skills were on display in their final flourish on the slopes that day. Everyone received a certification from their instructors validating their skiing ability which proved a fantastic momento to mark an unforgettable holiday.

The girls went to a local ice rink as their evening activity on their last day. The fun on the ice was followed by hot chocolates and croissants which ended the week in the perfect way.

It was a week full of adrenaline and serotonin and it has been an immensely enjoyable experience which contained innumerable memories. The 5th years will now have to trade the stunning scenery of the Dolomites for the equally beautiful sights of Endsleigh.

Thank you to Ms Duffy, Ms Williams, Mr O’Flynn, Mr Kelleher and Mr O’Luasa for accompanying the girls on the trip.
