Our school rowing team travelled to UL today to compete in the ‘Get Going, Get Rowing’ Indoor Competition. It was the groups first time competing together and they did themselves and the school very proud. 
First up was the second year 2000m relay where we had three 1st years and one 2nd year racing. The team were very unlucky to miss out on a medal after finishing in 4th place. 
The next race was the Open Junior Girls 2000m relay where we had two teams competing with a combination of 1st, 2nd and 3rd years. This was a race for experienced rowers and the standard was extremely high. Our teams finished 6th and 9th which was a great achievement.
Finally, we had the Open Senior Girls 2000m relay. Again, this race was filled with experienced rowers and was hugely competitive from the get go. The team of 4th and 5th years finished 5th place overall and should be extremely proud of their effort.

Overall, it was a great day out and we look forward to our next event. Well done to all involved.
