The CSPE Department ran a whole school presidential election today to coincide with the national polling day.
Students were issued with polling cards and used a ballot paper to cast their vote in the stáisiún vótála set up in the library.
After the voting concluded, ballot papers were separated and spoilt votes excluded. The quota was calculated to be 224.
After the first count, with 332 votes, Catherine Connolly was selected as the students’ choice for the next Úachtaráin na hÉireann!
