Maths week 2024 is in full flow in Regina Mundi College. We began on Monday with an assembly from Ms Harrington introducing maths week and the agenda for all students. Mr O’Connell also entertained the crowd with some very amusing maths jokes. The cube was played to both staff and students as a taster of what was to come.
Transition year students have been watching Hidden Figures, 2nd year students have been putting their recent algebra skills to use through games in class, 1st year students are solving riddles and designing maths posters in class and 3rd year students have been trying to earn much sought after ‘Queen of Numbers’ badges while winning rounds of the Cube. Today 5th year students have spent the day trying to create a video of mathematical symbols though dance.
