Kindness Day 2026- Pics

Regina Mundi College was filled with colour, positivity and community spirit on Thursday as students and staff came together to celebrate Kindness Day alongside our Green, White and Orange Non-Uniform Day.

The day was a wonderful celebration of kindness, wellbeing and support for mental health awareness, while also raising funds for Pieta. Students and staff embraced the theme by wearing green, white and orange, with each colour carrying a special meaning: green representing mental health awareness, white symbolising hope, and orange representing the Amber Flag.
A wide range of activities took place across the school throughout the day, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere for everyone involved. Students engaged with The Affirmation Station, The Compliment Project, Take What You Need Board, Give What You Can Board, and the Postbox of Kindness, all of which encouraged positivity, reflection and connection. The “Show This Card to a Staff Member Who…” activity also brought many smiles, as students took the opportunity to recognise and appreciate members of staff.
A particularly meaningful part of the day was the display of the ‘Light at the End of the Tunnel’ projects, created by the Amber Flag Team. These projects highlighted important messages around hope, resilience and mental health, and made a powerful impact around the school.
Music in the Well added to the uplifting atmosphere at morning time, break and lunchtime, while the day concluded with The Gift Activity in base classrooms, giving students the opportunity to end the day on a positive and thoughtful note.
The event was a fantastic success and reflected the caring and supportive spirit of the Regina Mundi College community. A huge amount of credit goes to our 4th Year Amber Flag Team, who worked so hard throughout the year and played a major role in making the day such a success.
Our collection for Pieta raised an amazing €644.99, which will go towards providing vital support for those who need it.
A sincere thank you to Ms Murphy and her art students for their support of the Amber Flag Team and for helping to bring such creativity to the day.
Well done to everyone who took part, contributed to Pieta, and helped make the day so special. It was a lovely reminder of the power of kindness and the importance of looking after our mental health and one another.
