Our senior soccer team narrowly missed out on a spot in the U19 Cork Cup Final having lost 2-1 away to MIIC Dunmanway today. The home team scored within the first 90 seconds but RMC dominated the rest of the half hitting the post on 3 separate occasions. A good save from keeper Meadhbh O’Connell denied Dunmanway early in the second half but the home team made it 2-0 from a free kick shortly after.
Holly O’Hagan responded with a great goal to keep us in the game and the girls gave everything to try and level the score. Despite dominating possession throughout the match, the game ended 2-1.
Well done to the team for a determined effort. It just wasn’t our day today.
