The First Year Soccer Team had an enjoyable outing yesterday for a fixture in the Munster Cup against St. Mary’s Midleton.
Unfortunately, they were knocked out of the cup with a 5-0 loss despite our team’s best efforts. The team fought and ran for every ball but the opposition proved too strong for us this time.
Every player had time on the pitch which was the main highlight of the day. This will hopefully be the start of the Soccer fixtures that the girls will be involved in for the next few years.
However, all is not lost. The first years previously had a comfortable win to proceed into the next round of the Cork Cup so they will now turn their focus to the next fixture. Hard luck girls!
