Congratulations to Art teacher Ms Melissa Murphy and the large number of students who have reached the final stages of two national competitions.
Outfits designed and made (from recycled materials) by Claire O’Shea, Kailey Noonan, Laura Hurley, Megan Ahern, Tara Mehigan, Alex Basaj, Weronika Basaj and Ula Golofit have been selected for the Regional Final (Southern Section) of the Junk Kouture Competition. The students will model their outfits in the regional final to be held in the University Concert Hall, Limerick on 14th March.
Meanwhile, Doodles 4 Google designed by Katie Nolan, Claire Power, Caoillfhion Hunt, Ula Golofit, Megan McAuliffe and Alison Peard reached the semi-final stage of this national competition. The expert panel of judges then selected 75 designs for the final stage of the competition and both Alison Peard’s and Ula Gogofit’s designs were selected. The girls will travel to Google European Headquarters in Dublin for the national final on 24th March.
