Congratulations to 5th year RMC student Chloe Kelleher who won first prize in the Rotary Young Chef National Final on 23rd February. Chloe prepared and served the following three course meal:

Carmelised onion and goat’s cheese tartlet

Poached, stuffed pork steak served with baby carrots, wild rice and apple and cider sauce

Baked white chocolate and vanilla custard with raspberry jelly and raspberry coulis.

Chloe will now represent Ireland in Cheltenham, UKon 27th April where she will compete with the National Final Winners from England, Scotland and Wales.

Congratulations are also extended to Chloe’s Home Economics teacher and mentor, Mrs Sandra Lane, who helped Chloe perfect her menu and culinary skills in advance of the Regional and National Finals.
